After an 8-year stint in the UK, we were settled back in Cape Town. Our children were both in full-time school and I was running an Early Learning Centre from home. This job brought me great joy, as I have always been passionate about child development and equipping children with skills and independence. At that stage, I did not fully realise the benefits of drama classes until the opportunity arose for us to buy the Helen O’ Grady Drama Academy franchise in 2018. I soon realised that through the Academy, I could make huge changes in many more children and teen’s lives, by introducing them to this unique curriculum.

From an early age, I have been excited to perform and make people happy! At school, I wrote plays for children and taught drama when my teacher needed help. I studied at the Waterfront Theatre School and then stepped into a successful, professional acting career at the then CAPAB in Cape Town. Upon relocating to the UK, I shifted my focus to Early Learning Education, setting me up to run an Early Learning Centre later.

As a Helen O’Grady Drama Principal, my priority is to create a safe, encouraging space so parents can happily leave their children in our capable hands, to develop at their own pace without being measured or judged. The skills of developing communication, sparking creative thinking and building confidence is my passion. These life skills refined through fun, laughter and support help children and teens find their voice and grow into resilient, self-assured young people.
