Welcome to the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy!  We’re excited to have your child in our programme.  These Terms & Conditions help us run smoothly and ensure a positive experience for every family.

1. Enrolment

• Enrolment is valid for one full year from the date you sign the Enrolment Form.
• Re‑enrolment takes place in Term 4, and parents will receive instructions in writing.
• Academy terms follow public school terms, unless otherwise communicated.

2. Ending Enrolment Early

If you need to end your child’s enrolment before year‑end:

• A 20‑day written notice is required.
• All outstanding fees for the term in which notice is given must be paid with the notice.
• If fees remain unpaid, the account will be handed over for debt collection, and a R200 collection fee will be added.
• If notice is not given at the end of a term, parents remain liable for the next term’s fees.  (This does not apply at the end of the academic year when enrolment naturally expires.)

3. Fees & Payments

• Fees are invoiced quarterly and are due at the first lesson of each term.
• Preferred payment method: EFT.
• Fees are non‑refundable.
• Instalments may be approved by the Principal.

Late or Unpaid Fees

• Late payments incur a R100 penalty.
• Students with unpaid fees at the end of a term may not continue into the next term.
• Accounts handed over for collection will include a R200 collection fee.

4. Classes & Attendance

• No classes are held on public holidays, unless otherwise stated.
• Missed classes cannot be refunded or credited.
• Consistent attendance helps your child grow in confidence and skill.

5. Student Safety & Collection

Independent Afternoon Studios

• Students must be collected from inside the classroom.
• Students may not wait outside for their lifts.

Extra‑Mural School Studios

• Students must follow the collection policies of the host school.

6. Behaviour & Participation

We aim to create a safe, positive and encouraging environment.  The Academy reserves the right to address behaviour that disrupts learning or compromises safety.  In rare cases, continued enrolment may be reviewed.

7. Communication

By enrolling, parents agree to receive essential Academy communication, including:

• Class updates
• Notices
• Term information
• Re‑enrolment details

Marketing communication is only sent with consent, in line with POPIA.

8. Liability

We take every reasonable measure to ensure student safety.  Parents acknowledge that participation in physical activities carries inherent risks.  The Academy is not liable for injuries resulting from normal class participation.
